Family Fun (and fund raising!)

Rides, amusements, carnival midway, games... Now we’re talking! Matthews Alive brings in the top amusements company in the Southeast to provide our major rides and attractions at the festival. This area of the festival, we like to call “Family Fun” is truly the hub of the energy and action of the festival. Imagine the lights flashing, music and bells, and the sounds of kids laughing and having their best days of the summer! This is Matthews Alive.

Matthews Alive is the single largest annual fund raising event in Matthews. Proceeds from the Family Fun area, from wristband purchases to single ride tickets, go right back out into the local community. When you pass a game booth, and you see the folks working that game, they are your neighbors, volunteering their time for the non-profit group that they represent. More than 30 local area non-profits volunteer with the Matthews Alive Festival each year. And in the end, 100% of our festival proceeds go back out to those groups to support them in their endeavors in our community.

So when your little boy or girl comes up and says…. “just ONE more ride….please….” Now you know its ok to spend those extra few dollars, they are going to make your community a better place.

Ticket Prices

Single tickets - $1
Sheet of 20 tickets - $15 - save 25%
All-you-can-ride Wristbands (Friday night only) - $15.
Supplies are limited. Wristbands do not include games.

NOTE: If a ride or game takes cash, it will be noted on the booth. Otherwise, please do not offer or accept requests for cash for rides or games.

NOTE: Please take note of the closing times of the festival before purchasing your tickets. There are no refunds.

Tickets to Play

Mechanical rides take between 3 and 5 tickets to ride
Inflatables are 2 tickets to play
Games are 2 tickets to play
Kid Zone games (under 8) are 1 ticket to play

Have unused tickets from this year? Save them! We'll honor them next year.
