Matthews Alive, Inc. is a not-for–profit corporation managed by area volunteers to promote a traditional Labor Day Weekend Festival in downtown Matthews, NC.

The mission of the festival is to provide an opportunity for local non-profit groups to raise funds for their organization to benefit the community. Community groups volunteer their time by working the event, which in turn provides Matthews/Charlotte and the southeast a festival packed with an array of family activities, entertainment, arts and food.

The proceeds from the festival go directly to these non-profit organizations in order that they may provide services to enhance the quality of life in our area. Following the festival, after the festival expenses are paid, 100% of the festival proceeds are distributed to these organizations.

To date, Matthews Alive, Inc. has contributed over $750,000 back into our local community!
